Contact us

The fastest way to reach us is by email: hello@fanstudioapps.com

To help us debug quickly, please include:

  • Which app you’re using (e.g. Photo Space Saver or DocSnap)
  • Your device model (e.g. iPhone 15, iPad Air) and iOS/iPadOS version
  • A short description of what happened, and if possible a screenshot or screen recording

If your screenshot contains sensitive info, feel free to blur or cover it first — we don’t need the private details, just the context.

Photo Space Saver – FAQ

Does Photo Space Saver upload my photos?

No. Photo Space Saver analyses your library on your device only. Duplicate detection, blur detection, and storage calculations all run locally. We don’t upload your photos or videos to our servers.

What exactly does the app look for?

Photo Space Saver is designed to find the things that quietly eat your storage:

  • Duplicate and near-duplicate photos (bursts, tiny variations of the same shot)
  • Blurry photos and “bad bursts”
  • Screenshots and screen recordings
  • Large videos and other space-heavy media
  • Utility images like receipts and tickets that often pile up

You stay in control: the app shows suggestions, but you choose what to remove.

How are deletions handled? Can I undo them?

When you confirm deletions, Photo Space Saver sends items to the system Recently Deleted album in Photos. That means:

  • You can still restore them from Recently Deleted for a limited time.
  • Photos are not permanently erased immediately unless you empty Recently Deleted yourself.

This is an extra safety net in case you change your mind.

How much space can I save?

It depends on your library. If you have years of screenshots, near-duplicates, and large videos, it’s common to free up several gigabytes in a single cleanup session — especially the first time you run the app.

Does Photo Space Saver work with iCloud Photos?

Yes. If you use iCloud Photos, changes you make in Photo Space Saver will sync through the Photos app, just like if you had deleted items manually. The analysis itself still happens on your device; we don’t talk to iCloud directly.

What’s the difference between the free and Pro version?

The free version lets you run scans and review results. Upgrading to Pro (a one-time purchase, no subscription) unlocks advanced features such as:

  • Deep scans across your entire library
  • Smart auto-select rules to speed up cleanup
  • More flexible filters and smart collections

Exact features may evolve over time; we’ll keep the App Store page and release notes up to date with the latest details.

DocSnap – FAQ

Does DocSnap upload my documents or summaries?

No. DocSnap is built to work offline. Scans, OCR, and AI summaries are processed on your device. We don’t run a cloud backend for your documents, and we don’t upload your pages or summaries to our own servers.

What kinds of documents work best?

DocSnap is tuned for everyday paperwork:

  • Receipts and invoices
  • Contracts and legal agreements
  • Tickets, travel confirmations, and boarding passes
  • Medical notes, school documents, and work memos

As with any OCR app, clear photos with good lighting and straight edges will always give the best results.

Can I import existing PDFs or screenshots?

Yes. You can import from Photos or Files, then run OCR and summaries as if they were newly scanned documents. This is useful when receipts, tickets, or contracts are already sitting in your email or chat apps.

How do categories like Finance or Travel work?

DocSnap suggests a category based on basic document signals (dates, amounts, keywords). You can change the category at any time, and your choice will be saved with the document.

What if OCR or the summary looks wrong?

You can always:

  • rescan the document (for a clearer image),
  • edit the recognized text manually, or
  • regenerate the summary after making corrections.

If something keeps breaking in the same way, feel free to email us a screenshot (you can cover any private parts) — recurring examples help us improve future versions.

Is there a subscription?

No. DocSnap uses a one-time Pro unlock model. The free version lets you try core features with some limits; upgrading removes those limits and unlocks full export options, without a recurring subscription. Exact limits and Pro features are listed on the App Store page.

Other questions

Which platforms do you support?

FanStudio apps are currently built for iPhone and iPad, and some also support Mac with Apple Silicon. If you’re interested in a Mac-specific version or another platform, feel free to let us know — it helps us decide what to build next.

How do you think about privacy?

Our apps follow a simple rule: process as much as possible on-device and avoid collecting personal data. You can read the full details in our Privacy Policy, but the short version is: no accounts, no tracking SDKs in apps, and no uploading your photos or documents to random servers.

How can I suggest a feature or a new app?

We read every email. Just write to hello@fanstudioapps.com with:

  • Which app you’re using (or would like to see), and
  • What problem you’d like it to solve.

The more you describe the problem instead of a specific UI, the easier it is for us to design something that actually helps.
